My last days as a free man!!!

Posted on: July 8, 2008 5:24 pm

Well I have only a few days of freedom left.  After 12 years in a relationship, I am finally getting married.  This coming Sunday, 7/13, is my last day of freedom.  And you know what, I couldn't be happier.  I actually landed the girl of my dreams.

I am not sure how this is going to impact my career as a sports poster on the boards, but time will only tell.  For all the baseball fans out there you know I am crazy in LOVE if I am not watching the All-Star game and Homerun Derby because of my honeymoon.  I so wanted to watch it this year, but alast I will be on the beach in Bermuda.

All I have to say is that I cannot wait till Sunday.  Just wanted all to know that I will be off the boards for a while, but hopefully not too long.

Wish me luck.

My last days as a free man!!!

Congrats Adam.  For myself, the day I got married was the happiest day of my life.  All my friends & Family attended my wedding for one reason - to be with my wife & I, to celebrate our new beginning life together.   Remember these words:  I am sorry - even if you were not wrong.   Fights will happen but it is how you make up that will determine if you your marriage will last.  My wife and I can not stay mad or upset for more than 24 hours - that is a rule for us.  It is silly to just be upset over most things for any period of time.

As for posting, I used to hang out posting on different sites - Facebook or MySpace.  My wife thought it was a waste of time.  Then I started to post on Sportsline.  It seems sports and posting on sports site seem less of a threat to her.  Fantasy baseball and/or Fantasy Football seem to take a lot of time but it some thing I enjoy.

I admit I have missed a few World Series in October and November since I was traveling in Europe or foreign country but I did not mind much.   I never let sports take away from doing things with my wife.  You seem to have  a similar approach which is good for your relationship.  Good luck and have a great honeymoon.

My last days as a free man!!!

Thanks for the kind words and insight into married life. I joke about the last days as a free man because I wouldn't have it any other way. She is the best and I can't wait. Sports and games happen, but marriage is real life. I actually learned that from my fiance. As sacrilegious as this may sound, there ARE more important things than s
